About Tim Cooper

How
Bill & Tim
Met & their Friendship

Tim met Bill Carter when he was just 13 years old, back in 1983. He was in awe over the artwork he saw in Car Craft and Hotrod magazines. As luck had it, the magazines listed the location of Bill's shop, and Tim made his way there on his bicycle traveling the streets of the San Fernando Valley, in Chatsworth, California. Once there, Bill was taken by Tim's passion for his work. He allowed Tim to observe him work. Tim would stop by on his way home from school. It was like a back stage pass to everything great on wheels and headed for water before anyone else laid their eyes on it. The colors were amazing to Tim, and he just couldn't get enough of seeing Bill's works. Tim was one of the few allowed "Lookie-Lou's."

Over time, these two formed a friendship that lasted until Tim had to say good-bye to his dear friend. Getting to know Bill's family and friends was both fun and exciting. But, meeting his wife Linda, was a beautiful continuation of that friendship. We are blessed to call her family.
